Douch
In the hamlet of Douch, one of the first major battles of the Resistance took place on September 10, 1943 (mentioned by General de Gaulle). He commented on a group of 47 resistance fighters led by Christian de Roquemaurel who fought a German column of 200 men. The guerrillas withdrew, but not without first inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
